The first 6 months are so exciting! From first smiles, to laughs, to learning how to roll over, and possibly even sit up in their own! Babies are learning so much, from so many different things! And they need help from us to do so!
They are also working and using so many new muscles. They are using tummy time to strengthen their neck and back. This is they can hold their head up without support and can be able to roll over! Which leads to sitting up, and crawling!
Here are my favorite items I have used during the first 6 months of both of my babies lives!
1: Rattles

Rattle help babies so much! They start to develop fine motor skills by learning how to grasp the rattle. They introduce cause and effect. As in when I move this thing, it makes noises. They start to learn hand-eye coordination. And they offer plenty of sensory play!
2: Teethers

These teethers have been my favorite! And my babies favorites! They can grab onto easily, which helps with their fine motor skills, and chew! They act as a mitten, so they don’t drop that easily! 🙂
3: Tummy Time Mat

I love this mat because it grows with them as a toddler! Tummy time is so important! This mat includes the dangling toys which helps with hand- eye coordination. And a mirror which is great sensory play! Babies love looking at themselves. And i love when they can start kicking, and play the piano with their feet!
4: Bouncer

A good bouncer is a must!! This one vibrates which both of my babies loved. It’s light so it’s easier to carry around. (Please don’t carry it with the baby inside) it’s soft, and easy to clean. You’ll need a bouncer to do little tasks when you can’t hold the baby, and if you have more kids, this helps a ton!!
5: Sleep Sacks

Once your baby starts learning how to roll over (around 4 months but can be sooner or later) they need to transition to a sleep sack instead of a swaddle. I love this one! Great quality. Snug. It still feels like their in a swaddle to makes the transition easier!
6: Baby Books

Reading to your baby is so beneficial. From the pictures, and language development. It’s also a great way to bond with your baby! They love the pictures and hearing your voice.
7: Owlet Dream Sock

I will ALWAYS love the dream sock. 100% worth the money! It calms my anxiety over my baby sleeping at night. If something did happen, it’ll alert you with a loud alarm so you wake up and check on your baby.
8: Play Mats

Once your baby starts to roll over and learning how to sit up, having a safe spot for them is a must. This has a thick padding. Non-slip. And machine washable.
9: Sensory Tummy Time Book

Tummy time sensory play is a Must!! Babies love the mirrors and looking at themselves. High contrast cards to help with eyesight. Plus it comes with a little teether toy they can also grab at and play!
